PHIL PORTER

Have you ever made a huge cane that you intended to use to create kaleidoscope designs? Then you reduced it, sometimes too much, and had to whack off great chunks of it just to test a few designs? Phil Porter figured out ways to test out scale and patterns using only one slice of the original cane. He is excited to share his strategy for getting the best from one cane, sharing his hard-won wisdom and experience.

OUR MEMBERS' EXPERIENCE

What I see in the Society is a great collection of tutorials, videos, and other information related to works that are at an elevated level of artistry, and I find that exciting and compelling. I also appreciate having both written tutorials and videos. There seems to be such a proliferation of unedited tutorial videos on the internet, with many focusing on generic work, and I appreciate the level of quality and curation on your site.
